As she reached her 50's, and both of her parents had died-her mother due to issues with arthritis, and her father following to a heart attack that was fatal, she began to realize that she had control over her own lifestyle. The focus was not on eating habits, but rather about finding the best way to optimize our body's function. Also, she was a participant in Christopher Guest's mockumentary feature film. Coolidge was a member of The Groundlings (an improv troupe and sketch comedy troupe based within Los Angeles). She has a role in the CBS sitcom 2 Broke Girls where she portrays Sophie, Max, and Caroline's Polish upstairs neighbor who runs the cleaning services.
