
Suzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 until January 19th January 19, 2008) was an American film, theatre television, and voice actress. [1] Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and started appearing in films towards the end of the 1950s. She later was featured in films of note like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). From 1972 until 1978, Pleshette appeared regularly on various TV shows. She was also a part of Emily Hartley, which earned numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on January 31, 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish and were the children of immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was an artist and dancer who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage manager at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
