Alison Krauss
The first wave of popular recognition came from bluegrass fiddler Alison Krauss in 1990 when at age 19, she took home of her first Grammy Awards with the trophy for Best Bluegrass Album. It was a feat of awe in many ways, not just because Krauss was young, but also because I've Got That Old Feeling was the third release in her library. Too Late to Cry was her debut album that was released when her Champaign Illinois resident's age of sixteen. Krauss had signed to Rounder Records, one of the best folk labels in the age group of fourteen. Krauss's achievements at such a young age, as well as her virtuosity, were consistently recognized by her ability to remained faithful to bluegrass - one of America's oldest and least well-known musical genres. Krauss as an incredibly talented teenager, has grown into a performer as well as a producer.
