JacquelineJacqueline Fernandez, a model and actress from Sri Lanka was born on the 11th of August, 1985. She has been in Indian films, mostly in Hindi, besides appearing in reality shows and music videos. She made her debut in Hindi films in 2009 alongside Aladin. Fernandez was born and was raised in Bahrain to an ethnically diverse Eurasian family with Sri Lankan, Canadian, and Malaysian origin. She completed her mass communication degree at the University of Sydney, and worked as a TV reporter in Sri Lanka. Then she started her modeling career. Her name was Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2006 and represented her country in Miss Universe 2006. Since the month of December 2021 Fernandez is being investigated into an alleged money laundering case that has a value of Rs200 crore. The investigation is executed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) who conducted a thorough investigation into Fernandez for 10 hours over the matter on 9 December 2021. Fernandez's demand for a downgrade of the Lookout Circular, (LOC) that was issued in her case that blocks her from traveling outside India was denied by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on 22 December.
